I have spent many years in the home based business industry. I have had success in several companies and totally failed in others. So many companies try to attract people with flashy cars and mansions along with the dream of working from home so that you can spend time with your children. It does sound good and definitely something most of us aspire to.. What I learned from personal experience, the vast majority of people that join a network marketing company do not make money, but spend money on the business. You have to realize that the business model for MLM companies is to get as many distributors (consultants, representatives, Brand Ambassadors whatever they call their associates) as possible. These distributors are the company’s customers. Now hopefully the distributors will find customers also…… but most people are not natural salespeople…… in fact most people cringe at the thought of having to ask someone to buy something……. especially their friends and family.

But hey, the MLM company has A LOT of customers, which are their distributors. Many of these companies want their distributors to be on a monthly Auto Ship. From a business model standpoint, this monthly requirement is brilliant. The company has found a way to have a nice, solid monthly income. As a distributor however, it can get quite expensive. Many companies have set the monthly Auto Ship at over $100, ($1200 yearly) which must be paid to earn commissions and earn new ranks…… or maintain your current rank. Often times this requirement does not meet the family budget.

Some companies encourage their distributors to purchase an inventory, which might even help the distributors reach a new rank. Speaking from personal experience, the companies will often discontinue the product, change the formulation or change the packaging. The Inventory that you purchased has now become obsolete. The only way to get rid of it is to reduce the price, give away as a gift or use it yourself. One thing you can count on, the company will be encouraging you to purchase more inventory from their ” new, improved line of products”.

To me a home based business means working from home, around my family’s schedule. What I quickly realized is that if you are in a downline, it is expected that much of your time must be devoted to conference calls and 3 Way Calls at the expense of quality time with your family.

I have never stopped searching for something that I could do from home to earn extra income. I have searched and searched for a business that I could do from anywhere on my laptop….. when I choose to do so.

This is a Revenue Sharing company. When the business chooses to market on the APP, I get paid $10 EACH month that they advertise. It does NOT cost anything EVER to do this. I determine how much I make each month ….. by how much effort I am willing to put into it. I like the fact that I am not limited by my own efforts.
